Once upon a time we were asked to be on a podcast. We acquiesced. Three souls voiced over a stumbling tongue. A vile disaster.

We were asked to return, despite our subparformance. We wanted something to talk about, something other than the triadoccult, which is better never spoken of. We imagined a symphony created collectively -- that would be worth speaking of.

Our friends at <1 NTWRK issued a call for stems to be curiously crafted into our <1st. Here, you envision it before your very eyes. Perhaps, you even hear it in your head! We were mere arrangers for the geniuses above. The symphony itself was written by the beautiful collective of souls. Enjoy.

And the radio show? Another wretched terror. We are not meant for the human senses. They burn us alive.

"The Unfinishable, curious," you say, trying to change the subject, "tell me more."

Collaboration, this is the stuff of life, as surely as selfishness. They are inseparable, we believe. To live is to desire. To desire is to desire others. To be aware, on any level, is to know this.
Or perhaps not.
Regardless,
As we write this, it is thirteen days past the due date for stems and some folks still have not sent theirs to us. This is so normal, that it really wouldn't feel like a successful project if it weren't the case. Indeed, it feels so relaxed, that it reminded us how arbitrary deadlines are. Why should there be a deadline for a collaborative symphony? Why shouldn't we just leave the window for submissions open for eternity? Lots of netlabels allow remix projects to run forever, why should a collaborative symphony based on their model be any different?

So, if you want to send stems to be incorporated into the <1st Symphony, drop us a line, or a link to them. We request one 13 minute stem; thirteen 1 minute stems, or any combination totaling no more than 13 minutes. Having said that, one being sent us like 3 hours of material and it found its way in because we loved it, so what the hell, take your best shot, worst case scenario, we only use a little of what you share.

Keep in mind, though, we are going to go one step further than just rewriting the <1 Symphony whenever we get new stems, we are going to make the midi files available on archive.org so that other people can make their own <1st Symphony Movements. If they send them to us we will incorporate them. We will also make the sound files available as stems. What is here, wherever you happen to be reading this on whatever world in whatever time, is just one snapshot of an ever mutable ever changing Unfinishable Symphony.
